Alkfo Pager privacy policy
Last updated: 23 September 2026
This policy covers Alkfo Pager for iPhone, its App Clip, pager links (https://alkfo.com/t/…) and notifications about an order you choose to follow, including in your web browser. It is short because the pager collects very little. For everything else about Alkfo, see our main privacy policy.
1. Who is responsible
The venue where you ordered is responsible for your order and for any details you gave it, such as your name or phone number. Alkfo (Alkfo) runs the pager for the venue: we process the data below only to deliver that venue's order updates to you.
2. What the pager collects
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| A notification token for your iPhone or browser | To deliver updates about the order you're following |
| Live Activity tokens (iPhone) | To update the order on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island |
| The order you're following | To know which updates go to which device |
| Whether a notification reached your device, and whether you opened it | So the venue doesn't also send you a paid message, such as WhatsApp, for the same update |
| App version, device type and language | To send updates in your language and to fix problems |
This data is linked to you. There is no account, but your device is linked to the order you follow, and the venue may hold your name or phone number with that order if you gave them. So we treat your device's tokens as personal data, and use them only for that order's updates.
The pager does not collect your name, phone number, email address, location, contacts or photos. It has no accounts, no advertising identifier, no analytics and no crash-reporting tools, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
3. What stays on your iPhone
- The orders you followed are kept in your iPhone's Keychain, on that iPhone only. Settings → Clear recent orders removes them, and so does deleting the app.
- The camera is used only to read an order's QR code. The picture is read on your iPhone and is never stored or sent.
4. How we use it
Only to send you updates about an order you chose to follow: received, being prepared, ready, and similar. Never advertising or marketing. We do not sell this data or use it to build a profile of you.
5. Who receives it
- Apple Push Notification service, to deliver notifications and Live Activity updates to your iPhone.
- Your browser's push service (for example Google, Mozilla, Apple or Microsoft), to deliver notifications in your browser.
- Our hosting providers, who store it for us under contract.
A notification contains the venue's name, your order number and its status. The venue sees your order's status, but not your device or its token.
6. How long we keep it
- The link between your device and an order ends 2 hours after the order is finished or cancelled, and after 24 hours at most while the order is still open.
- An App Clip can send notifications for up to 8 hours after you open it, and a Live Activity lasts up to 12 hours, as iOS allows.
- A device that follows no order for 30 days is retired and never used again.
- Records of which updates were sent for an order are kept with the venue's order records, as described in our main privacy policy.
7. Your choices
- Turn notifications or Live Activities off at any time: iPhone Settings → Alkfo Pager, or your browser's site settings.
- Delete the app, or clear recent orders in its Settings.
- To see or delete what we hold about your device, write to support@alkfo.com. Include the venue and the order number: there is no account to find you by.
Your other rights under Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law are set out in our main privacy policy.
8. Children
The pager asks for no personal details and is suitable for all ages.
9. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Questions about it: support@alkfo.com
